The New England Muscle Bicycle Museum. Meet George Barris page 1.
April 16 2007. Mr Barris agreed to see us at his shop in North Hollywood California. I was thrilled. He was very accomodating and generous with his time and allowed us access to his private collection of car and bike stuff. Mr B. signed 14 of the Museum chainguards from bikes he had designed for Stelber Industries late in the 1960's.
All 14 signed and about 7 were actually customized with pin striping or squiggles or what ever Mr. B wanted to do.
Vintage ads from the 60's were signed also. This was a very fun day. And the autographs were just a part of it...
This is a picture from the wall. It shows an Iverson publicity shot with Mr. B himself in the center on a bike I have only seen in the catalog, the Kustom Dragger. The right looks to be a Mini Indie and on the left is a Drag Stripper. I am looking for the cool mag wheels on the right and middle...
This Charger guard has some unique cus.. or should I say "K"ustomizing with a permamarker and silver paint pen. By GB, of course.
