Schwinn has had a long history of insulting various groups of people. This prototype model was created in 1969  to be the 10th Krate bike along side the "Koal Krate", "Grape Krate", "Blueberry Picker" and the 6 models that were actually produced. Although this bike was not quite as offensive as the white bike called the "Cotton Picker", it does rank high on the 'innate ability to offend' chart. Yes, this may only be a prototype and built with a sense of humor, it is well over the line of good taste with the dual triangle reflectors, flower basket, Necco wafer pink paint and Neon pink "fag" tassels. Let us all be thankful that the engineers at Schwinn had the common decency to not mass produce this 'light' muscle bike. Give no creedance to the rumor that Schwinn was to fill the basket with loafers,a Barbara Streisand 45 and a Cher autographed glossy photo. There were NO training wheels included, either.
